The School Counselors at SME are leaders, advocates, and collaborators who:

• Help students reach their full potential by actively helping students explore their abilities, strengths, interests, and talents as these traits relate to career awareness and development.
  
  
• Provide tiered academic, career, and social/emotional supports for every student utilizing data-driven and evidence-based practices to assess and address barriers to learning.

• Promote systemic change to ensure equity and access to a comprehensive school counseling program for every student to achieve success in school.
  
  
• Identify and utilize community resources that can enhance and complement the comprehensive counseling program and help students become productive members of society and achieve success in school.
