Mrs. Macutkiewicz grew up in San Diego and attended Cal State San Marcos, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Visual and Performing Arts and her multiple subject teaching credential.  She began playing the violin in her fifth grade music program, and has since performed in a variety of arenas, playing with large symphony orchestras and smaller acoustic and electric ensembles.  While she loves performing, her greatest passion lies in working with children.  This is her seventh year teaching music at San Marcos Elementary.
